Can't install OSX el capitan, stuck on installation screen Hello! Was trying to instal el capitan on my macbook, the installation starts and after a few minutes stops and a messaging saying the os x could'nt be install on the computer, please contact the software editor to get help. Once you've done that, here's how to install, reinstall, or upgrade to El Capitan, step by step: Boot from your Recovery HD partition by restarting your Mac while holding down the Command+R keys. The OS X Utilities window appears. Select Reinstall OS X, and click Continue. I am trying to install OS X El Capitan on PC but my keyboard and mouse doesn't work on the welcome screen. In short once you are at the first install page go to tools in the nav bar and open the terminal, in the terminal type date MMDDHHmmYY replacing the letters as follows. MM - 2 digit month 01 - 12 DD - 2 digit date 01 - 31 HH - 2 digit hour 01 - 24 mm - 2 digit minute 01 - 59 YY - 2 digit year 15 once that is done go through the install normally.

The Mac needs to be erased and have the version of OS X that shipped on it from the factory installed. Nothing on that Mac is yours. Nothing on that Mac is licensed to your Apple ID.

You need to erase the HDD, reinstall the version of OS X that shipped from the factory on the Mac and then set it up as new with your own Apple ID.

Installing El Capiton on an old Mac Book Pro today, I received the error:

Trying to install el capitan using

Adobe premiere cs4 for mac free download. OS X could not be installed on your computer

No packages were eligible for install. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.

Quit the installer to restart your computer and try again.

I checked Apple's support Matrix (it is a very old macbook pro) at https://support.apple.com/kb/SP728?locale=en_GB and it was listed as supported. Abrir chrome con google.

After lots of Googling and investigation, I discovered that the date and time were not set to current, the macbook thought it was year 2000.

You can easily reset the time and date by following the steps below:

Install El Capitan App

  • Click Utilities on the menu bar
  • Select Terminal
  • Type date
  • Confirm the date is wrong
  • Type date 062112422016 (example: June 21st 12:42 2016)
  • Exit terminal
  • Click Restart

Once the Date and time are configured you will be able to install OS X.

Install El Capitan On Mac

Easy fix, for a ridiculous error!
